Pierre Siklosis Professor of Economics and Director of the Viessmann EuropeanResearch Centre at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Canada) andSenior Fellow of the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis. Hespecializes in macroeconomics with an emphasis on the study ofinflation, central banks, and financial markets. He also conductsresearch in applied time series analysis. His research has beenpublished in a variety of international journals (Journal ofEconometrics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, Journal ofMoney, Credit and Banking, Economic Inquiry, Canadian Journal ofEconomics…) and his "Money and Banking" textbook, now in its 5thedition, is the leading textbook in this area in Canada. He is theManaging Editor of the North American Journal of Economics and Finance.In 1999 he was Erskine Fellow at the University of Canterbury, NewZealand. He was WLU's University Research Professor for the academicyear 2000-2001, and became the Director of the Viessmann EuropeanResearch in July 2005. On January 10th, 2008 he was named to the C.D.Howe Institute's Monetary Policy Council . In 2008 he will bechairholder of the Bundesbank Foundation of International MonetaryEconomics at the Freie Universitat, Berlin.

Karim Abadiris Professor of Financial Econometrics and Head of Finance andAccounting at Tanaka Business School at Imperial College (London, UK)and a Senior Fellow of the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis. Heholds a DPhil from Oxford University. His MA (Economics) and BA (Majorin Economics, Minor in Business) are from the American University inCairo. He is Associate Editor of Econometric Reviews, the PortugueseEconomic Journal and Econometric Theory. He has been Editor of theEconometrics Journal and Associate Editor of the Review of EconomicStudies. Dr Abadir major research interests are in MathematicalStatistics, Theoretical Econometrics, Financial Markets, Macroeconomicsand Applied Mathematics. He has published in several refereed journalsincluding Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Theory,Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Physics, Mathematical Methods ofStatistics.
